Walking Tours Start May 1st

We’re getting geared up for the first walking tours of the year, and we’ve contacting hotels and hostels to get them on board to promote our walks. Everyone we’ve told about Tour Guys thinks this is a great idea and those who know what kind of tour guides we are are confident we’ll be shaking things up a bit in Toronto and Vancouver.

Here’s a sneak peak at the posters we’re developing for Toronto!

More Free Tour Promotional Material

Here is the design for our “rack card” which we will be asking hostels and hotels to display for us. I think on the next run we’ll take off the part about tipping your Tour Guy. We’re pretty up front about asking for tips, but it might come across as a little bold, expecially since it’s right under the header that says our tours are free. Anyone have thoughts on that? Keep it? lose it?

Seeking Local Businesses

Tour Guys is starting our first tour season on May 1st, and we are looking for local businesses in Toronto and Vancouver who would be able to offer some kind of support. Steve in Vancouver is going to ask a local radio station to provide lanyards for his tour groups to wear to help him manage the tour more effectively. In Toronto, I’m printing up postcards to advertise our free tours in hotels and hostels.

What we are looking for are sponsorships to help us print our postcards (in return for ad space on them), swag or coupons we can give out to members of our tour groups (perhaps to everyone or just a few as trivia prizes), or anything else that would enhance the tour experience. We want to create a “wow” experience for our clients, and we think working with local businesses is the way to go.

If you think you can help… contact us!
